NASDA Holds Winter Policy Meetings

The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) held its annual winter policy meetings February 23-25 in a virtual setting. The meeting, which incorporates state departments of agriculture, is a venue for leaders of such departments to discuss common issues of concern, develop policy priorities among states, and make policy recommendations for the federal government. The meeting also offered the opportunity to hear from guest speakers addressing issues including climate policy and infrastructure policy. Arkansas's Secretary of Agriculture, Wes Ward, serves on the board of directors representing southern states as President of the Southern Association of State Departments of Agriculture (SASDA).
