June 8th Crop Progress and Condition Report

On Monday, June 8th, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) issued a new Crop Progress and Condition Report. According to the report, Arkansas farmers were able to make significant progress as better planting conditions were available over the previous week. The report indicated that 100 percent of corn was planted, 96 percent of cotton, 94 percent of peanuts, 93 percent of rice, and 76 percent of soybeans. Crops are mostly in fair to good condition currently.
