June 1 Crop Progress Report

On Monday, June 1, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) issued new Crop Progress and Condition Reports. According to this week's report, Arkansas farmers are quickly approaching the finish line for planting. According to the report, Arkansas had 100 percent of corn planted, 91 percent of cotton, 90 percent of rice, 87 percent of peanuts, and 66 percent of soybeans. Crops are mostly in fair to good condition.
