July 6 Crop Progress and Condition Report

On Monday, July 6th, the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) issued an updated Crop Progress and Condition Report. According to the report, most of Arkansas's crops are in good to excellent condition at the moment as they enter key growth stages. Nationally corn and soybean conditions are also mostly in good to excellent condition. With regard to cotton the Texas cotton crop seems to be struggling relative to other states in the cotton belt with only 22 percent of their crop in good to excellent condition and 36 percent in poor to very poor condition.
