On Monday, July 26th, USDA National Agriculture Statistics Service (NASS) issued an updated Crop Progress and Condition Report. For Arkansas, most crops remain in good condition with cotton and peanuts continuing to lead the way. All major commodities have over 50 percent in good to excellent condition and almost 90 percent considered to be within the range of fair to excellent condition. The report shows 10 percent of corn mature, 81 percent of cotton setting bolls, 26 percent of rice headed, and 67 percent of soybeans setting pods.
