On Thursday, March 25th, Governor Asa Hutchinson visited Delta Peanut in Jonesboro to proclaim March as Peanut Month in Arkansas. Delta Peanut, a 100 percent farmer owned peanut shelling company based in Jonesboro, just finished its first year of operations at its new facility. They source peanuts grown in Arkansas and other Mid-South states. According to USDA, Arkansas farmers grew peanuts on 37,000 acres in 2020.
