On Tuesday, February 9th, the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture held its second hearing to consider components of the farm bill. The focus of the hearing Tuesday was commodity programs and crop insurance programs. However, much time and attention was placed on use of the Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) funds in recent years, including trade assistance and new "climate smart" initiatives.
