House Ag Committee Holds Hearing on Conservation Programs

On Wednesday, February 3rd, the U.S. House Agriculture Committee held a hearing to consider conservation programs under the 2018 farm bill. The hearing marked the first hearing related to specific title of the farm bill as Congress begins its review of current law and consideration of policy changes for the next farm bill, which is scheduled for reauthorization in 2023. The Committee is holding a second hearing to consider commodity programs and crop insurance on Tuesday, February 8th.
