Governor Declares Pollinator Week

On Monday, June 22nd, Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson declared the week, "Pollinator Week," in Arkansas. The action is intended to bring attention to the important role of pollinators to agriculture and the environment. In addition to Arkansas, similar events and announcements will take place this week across the country as various groups share in celebrating the importance of pollinators and commit to the preservation of their habitat. Farmers and landowners interested in expanding available pollinator habitat on their land should contact the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) for more information and resources.
