In addition to completing required work of finalizing updated congressional maps, Governor Hutchinson and the General Assembly hope to hold a special session to consider tax reform legislation. The issue was deferred beyond the legislative session held earlier this year in order to conduct a more thorough review of revenue estimates to determine the fiscal condition of the state and to seek a consensus on how to pursue further tax cuts and tax reforms. Recently Governor Hutchinson provided an interview with Talk Business Arkansas to discuss his plans for calling a special session.
