This week, a federal appeals court denied multiple requests by agricultural groups for a stay of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ruling on food residue tolerances related to chlorpyrifos insecticide. The court ruling allowed the effective ban, which went into effect February 28, 2022, to remain in place. The court ruling means that use of the insecticide on food or feed crops is illegal.
