Farmers Urged to Follow Smoke Management Guidelines

As Arkansas farmers continue into and through the harvest season, they are also reminded to conduct crop residue burning in a manner consistent with the Arkansas Voluntary Smoke Management Guidelines led by the Arkansas Department of Agriculture. The guidelines are established to ensure safe and responsible burning as a management practice. To comply with the guidelines, farmers are strongly encouraged to report planned burns to the Arkansas Agriculture Department Dispatch Center at 1-800-830-8015.
