Arkansas First District Congressman Rick Crawford introduced a new bill known as the Agricultural Intelligence Measures, or AIM Act, to establish an intelligence office within USDA to monitor and address potential foreign threats related to agriculture. Such threats include cyber crimes, intellectual property theft, espionage, and more. The goal of such an office would be to aid the U.S. intelligence community in its ongoing efforts and to place the U.S. on a more offensive position towards threats and potential threats to homeland security as it relates to agriculture. Crawford serves on both the House Agriculture Committee and the House Intelligence Committee.
