Corps Announces New Funding for Mississippi River and Tributaries

On Wednesday, January 19th, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) announced a $22.81 billion new spending plan for infrastructure including the Mississippi River and Tributaries system through funds made available under the bipartisan infrastructure package approved by congress last year as well as fiscal year 2022 appropriations. The Corps expects this funding to support 500 total projects, including river and port upgrades as well as environmental projects to respond to natural disasters.
