On Thursday, December 2nd, Congress approved another fiscal year spending bill to provide funding for the federal government through February 18th. The passage prevented a potential government shutdown as the previous continuing resolution was set to expire on December 3rd. The spending bill did not include any solution to the looming debt ceiling limit, which must be addressed in December to avoid a debt crisis.
