Congress Extends Fiscal Year Funding Through March 11

Congress bought a little more time to negotiate fiscal year 2022 spending with the passage of another Continuing Resolution (CR) that will avoid a government shutdown and extend funding for the federal government until March 11th. The fiscal year that began October 1 has been funded by congress through short-term CRs with the most recent scheduled to expire on February 18th. House and Senate appropriators continue to negotiate towards an omnibus spending bill that would cover all parts of the federal government for the remainder of the 2022 fiscal year.
