U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) recently joined Agri-Pulse for their Open Mic program to discuss a wide range of issues affecting the U.S. agriculture industry. Of primary interest is the impact of the Russian war against Ukraine and other factors impacting food prices and costs of production for farmers. The Senator discussed various policies under consideration to alleviate some of the pressures facing food production and the U.S. economy.
The interview also included conversation about the Senate Agriculture Committee's work towards the development of the upcoming reauthorization of the farm bill. The Senator made it known that he is preparing to host a hearing in Arkansas to consider farm policy with an emphasis on the farm bill.
