On Thursday, September 17th, U.S. Senator John Boozman sat down with Agri-Pulse to discuss ongoing Congressional activity as it relates to agriculture spending and aid for U.S. farmers. Boozman is expected to be the highest ranking Republican member of the Senate Agriculture Committee in the next Congress. He also serves on the Senate Appropriations Committee, which is tasked with establishing spending priorities for the 2021 fiscal year, which begins October 1. In the interview, Boozman focused on aid programs to date, efforts to apply additional aid, and plans for funding the government in the upcoming fiscal year.
