Biden Lays Out More Spending and Tax Plans in State of the Union

On Wednesday, President Biden held his first Joint Session of Congress for his first State of the Union address. The speech highlighted various achievements of the first 100 days of his administration with a focus on the response and recovery to the COVID-19 pandemic. He also laid out more of his policy agenda, including spending plans on infrastructure and family care as well as new tax policies to pay for some of the spending initiatives.

The speech was greeted with skepticism by members of the Arkansas Congressional delegation.
