On Wednesday, June 8th, President Biden announced that he sent to the Senate a nominee to serve as Chief Agricultural Negotiator under the U.S. Trade Representative. The nominee is longtime USDA policy official Doug McKalip who's served in various policy roles for nearly three decades. USDA Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack praised the nomination and urged his confirmation by the Senate.
