Bayer Announces Plan to Reward Growers for Carbon Sequestration

On Tuesday, July 21st, Bayer Crop Science announced a new initiative and plan to provide incentives to growers who adopt certain activities to sequester carbon. The program will begin this fall and incentives will be made available for no-till practices and use of cover crops. The program will operate in a pilot phase and be available to 700 U.S. farmers, and they plan to grow the program in following years.
