August 31st Crop Progress and Condition Report

On Monday, August 31st, the USDA National Agriculture Statistics Service (NASS) released an updated Crop Progress and Condition Report. According to the report, Arkansas appears to have experienced a modest deterioration of crop condition primarily due to excess moisture and recent weather events. A similar story of reduced crop conditions were reported nationally. In addition, Arkansas's harvest continues to lag last year and the five year average due to later planting and recent weather. However, overall, most crops remain in fair to excellent condition.
