Attorney General Rutledge Announces Candidacy for Governor

Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge officially launched her candidacy for governor when she announced her plans to run for office on July 1st. Governor Hutchinson is term limited and his term will expire at the end of 2022. Rutledge is also term limited, and her second term as Attorney General will conclude at the end of 2022. Former Congressman and current Lieutenant Governor Tim Griffin, who is also on the same term limit track with his office, previously announced his plans to run for governor. A crowded field of candidates for governor is expected.
