As Vaccines Roll Out Agriculture Workers Expected to be High Priority

The primary Centers for Disease Control (CDC) advisory group on vaccines has recommended that frontline essential workers, including farmers and others in the food and agriculture industry, should be in the second group to receive COVID-19 vaccines. The recommendations, which were made Sunday, will be considered by CDC Director Robert Redfield for approval.

The recommendations are established to provide a framework for states to determine who should receive the vaccine after the first group, which included healthcare workers and residents and staff of long-term care facilities.
