Arkansas once again exceeded revenue expectations during the month of August according to state tax officials. The ongoing pandemic has had effects on many points of revenue collection, but the slowdown in the economy due to the pandemic clearly has been modest relative to the initial forecasts. However, there is still reason to be concerned for the coming months as revenue collections will slow down as tax filing deadlines, which were extended, have since expired.
