On Monday, April 5th, the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) issued an updated Crop Progress and Condition Report. The report indicated continued progress in corn planting with 8 percent estimated to be planted, and it also indicated soybean and rice planting to now be underway. However, Arkansas is lagging its 5 year average due to recent rainfall.
