On Monday, April 12, USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) issued a new Crop Progress & Condition Report. According to the report, Arkansas farmers have accelerated their plantings in recent days, and that trend looks to accelerate further in the coming days as drier weather is on the horizon. According to the report, corn is now 24 percent planted, rice is 13 percent planted, and soybeans are 5 percent planted as of Friday, April 11.
