Agriculture Workers Next in Line for Vaccines

The efforts to deploy COVID-19 vaccines as quickly as possible to Americans continues in all states including Arkansas. In accordance with CDC and FDA recommendations, Arkansas is providing vaccines to vulnerable populations first before moving to individuals deemed to be high risk and in essential industries. Already, anyone over 70 is eligible to receive the vaccine in Arkansas, and farmers and those in the food production and service industry are expected to be eligible in late January or early February. Those looking to receive a vaccination should contact their local pharmacies or primary care physicians and ask to be placed on their waiting lists. Many offer online sign ups on their webpages.
