Ag Council Joins Other Ag Organizations Expressing Concern for Potential EPA Actions

The Ag Council of Arkansas joined a group of 90 agricultural industry stakeholders across America to express concern to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on potential decisions related to crop protection products that could be detrimental to production agriculture in the U.S. Groups represented as signatories to the letter included groups that represent growers, retailers, and other end-users of pest control products. While the letter was not specific to any particular product, the EPA is currently reviewing and considering registration changes to several herbicides that are systemically important to U.S. agriuclture. The letter urged any new decisions to not undermine the market availability of products or lead to economic harm to the industry currently facing shortages in product supply and limited options in effective crop protection products.
