U.S. Senate Confirms New Energy Secretary

On December 2nd, the U.S. Senate confirmed Dan Brouillette as the new Secretary of Energy following the resignation of former Energy Secretary Rick Perry. Brouillette received 70 votes in the Senate. Prior to his appointment he’d worked for Ford Motor Company, the Department of Energy during the George Bush Administration, and as a energy industry regulator in Louisiana.
