October 10 U.S. Crop Production Report

On Thursday, October 10th, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) released an updated Crop Production Report for the United States. The report showed slight decreases in production from the September estimates for corn, soybean and cotton. The estimates did not incorporate potential issues associated with early winter storms affecting the upper midwest.

Soybean production is expected to be down 20 percent from 2018, cotton production is expected to be up 19 percent from 2018, and rice production is expected to be down 16 percent from 2018.
