September 12 Crop Production Report

On September 12th, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) released a new Crop Production Report for the United States. According to the report, annual production estimates for most major commodities is down from 2018, and USDA lowered production estimates for most commodities from the August report. The Arkansas report offered a similar story with the exception of cotton, which expects unchanged yield from August estimates with increased acreage and yield from 2018. Peanut production in Arkansas is expected to see a 48 percent increase over 2018 levels.
