Plant Board Process for 2020 Dicamba Rules Underway

The Arkansas State Plant Board pesticide committee met Friday, August 23rd, to begin the discussion of Arkansas’s dicamba policy for the upcoming 2020 crop year. The committee did not make any determination on what a new rules should include, but they did broadly discuss the rulemaking process and review current and past rules for dicamba use.

The pesticide committee will meet again on September 10th before a full board’s quarterly meeting September 17th. The pesticide committee is expected to recommend a proposed rule to the full board for consideration in September.
