State of Arkansas Reaches Agreement with C&H Hog Farm to Relocate the Operation

According to an announcement by Governor Asa Hutchinson, an agreement has been reached between the State of Arkansas and the owners and operators of the C&H Hog Farm to help them relocate their operation. The settlement includes a buyout of their existing operation in Mount Judea, Arkansas. The farm became a subject of great controversy as it related to the state’s issuance of regulatory permits due to its scale of operation and its proximity to the Buffalo National River. According to the announcement, the State, in partnership with the Nature Conservancy, will pay the owners of C&H $6.2 million.
