June 11 WASDE Report

On Tuesday, June 11th, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) released a new World Agriculture Supply and Demand Estimate (WASDE) report. The report provides supply and demand estimates for all major agricultural commodities. This report is important as it includes estimates for crop acres in the United States impacted by heavy rains and floods, and it incorporates estimated production in other areas of the world that are dealing with their own production challenges. However, the July WASDE report is likely to offer a clearer picture on where things stand with the 2019 crop as it should include a finality of planted acres as well as a better understanding of the crop conditions. In addition the July report will include more information on international production and consumption.
