Federal Disaster Declarations Granted for River Valley Region

President Trump granted federal disaster declaration for several Arkansas counties affected by recent floods caused by the Arkansas River, which experienced major flooding from Oklahoma to Mississippi. Governor Hutchinson and the Arkansas congressional delegation made requests for the designations, which will make Arkansas eligible for a range of federal disaster assistance programs.

Most of the flood fighting effort has turned to clean up and repair as waters are beginning to recede.
