May 13 Crop Progress Report

On Monday, May 13th, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Agriculture Statistics Service (NASS) released an updated Crop Progress and Condition Report for Arkansas. The latest report continues to show Arkansas as being well behind its 5 year average for the planting of all commodities, which is primarily due to excess soil moisture and continuous rains. The weather forecast for this week call for more sunshine, which will offer a window of opportunity for many to get in the fields and play catch up.
