Trump Administration Amps Up USMCA Efforts

The Trump administration is amping up efforts to advance the U.S. – Mexico – Canada Free Trade Agreement (USMCA). The agreement must be ratified by Congress, and the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) has deployed a team to make the pitch to legislators to approve the agreement. On Wednesday, March 13th, the USTR held a closed door meeting with House Democrats to go over the agreement and answer questions from members. Approval of the agreement will require bipartisan support.
