November 8 Crop Production Report

On November 8th, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) released a new Crop Production Report for Arkansas. According to the report, it’s estimated that soybean and corn yield and production to be higher than the October report while cotton, rice and sorghum were mostly unchanged from the previous report.

Estimated Arkansas crop yields for 2018:

Soybean production yield is expected to average 50 bushels per acre

Corn for grain production yield is expected to average 181 bushels per acre

Upland cotton production yield is expected to average 1,150 pounds per harvested acre

Rice production yield is forecast at 7,500 pounds per acre

Sorghum for grain production yield is expected to average 80 bushels per acre
