USDA Announces Plans to Move ERS and NAFI Out of D.C.

On Thursday, August 9th, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced new plans to move the agencies Economic Research Service (USDA-ERS) and the National Institute for Food and Agriculture (NIFA) to locations not in Washington, D.C. The announcement is the latest in a series of agency reforms announced and planned by Secretary Sonny Perdue and the Trump Administration. While locations were not announced, it was made known that the plan was to complete the transfer by end of year 2019.
