August 6 Crop Progress & Condition Report

On Monday, August 6, the USDA National Agricultural Statistical Service (NASS) released a new Crop Progress and Condition Report. The report provided an update on the latest state of the 2018 crops in Arkansas. According to the report, corn is 95 percent dough, 86 percent dent and 37 percent mature, cotton is 100 percent setting bolls and 2 percent open bolls, rice is 86 percent headed and 10 percent mature, and soybeans are 99 percent blooming with 891 percent setting pods, and 14 percent turning color. The majority of Arkansas row crops are estimated to be in good to excellent condition.
