July 9 Crop Progress and Condition Report

On Monday, July 9, the USDA National Agricultural Statistical Service (NASS) released a new Crop Progress and Condition Report. The report provided an update on the latest state of the 2018 crops in Arkansas. According to the report, corn is 93 percent silked and 48 percent dough, cotton is 92 percent squaring and 60 percent setting bolls, peanuts are 55 percent pegging, rice is 10 percent headed, and soybeans are 81 percent blooming with 45 percent setting pods. The majority of Arkansas row crops are estimated to be in good to excellent condition.
