July 16 Crop Progress and Condition Report

On Monday, July 16, the USDA National Agricultural Statistical Service (NASS) released a new Crop Progress and Condition Report. The report provided an update on the latest state of the 2018 crops in Arkansas. According to the report, corn is 97 percent silked and 64 percent dough and 23 percent dent, cotton is 99 percent squaring and 85 percent setting bolls, peanuts are 99 percent pegging, rice is 21 percent headed, and soybeans are 89 percent blooming with 63 percent setting pods. The majority of Arkansas row crops are estimated to be in good condition.
