Arkansas Legislature Wraps Up Fiscal Session

The Arkansas General Assembly wrapped up work on the fiscal session on Friday, March 9th. The legislature approved its revenue stabilization act (RSA) which will provide a $5.6 billion that will fulfill the funding needs for various state agencies. The RSA closely reflects the governor’s budget proposal and includes approval for continuation of the Arkansas Works Health Insurance Program with additional work requirements approved by the Trump Administration.

The legislature is expected to embark on a 3 day special session next week to address legislative matters pertaining to at least 3 issues.
