Farmer, Stan Jones, Named Game and Fish Commissioner

Governor Asa Hutchinson announced on July 11th the appointment of farmer Stan Jones of Alicia (Lawrence County) to serve as Commissioner to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.  Jones is a fourth generation farmer, and he’s been an active participant in USDA conservation programs, and he’s an active hunter and part owner of Banded brand hunting apparel. He owns and operates a 7,000 acre farm with about 1,000 acres in conservation programs according to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette. Jones replaces Fred Brown of Corning who completed his 7 year term this year.
