Plant Board to Vote on Emergency Rule on Dicamba

On Friday, June 16, the Arkansas State Plant Board Pesticide Committee approved a motion to recommend to the full Board an emergency rule to stop sale and use of dicamba products. The full Board will meet Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 to consider the emergency rule. The action was in result of widespread complaints across Arkansas where evidence of dicamba damage was identified. As of the committee meeting Friday 77 complaints had been filed in 15 Arkansas counties.  The crops damaged ranged from soybeans (most common) to cotton, peanuts, and others.
