Senate Approves Nominees for Trade Rep and FDA Administrator

The U.S. Senate this week approved the nominations for U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).  Robert Lighthizer begins work as U.S. Trade Representative and Scott Gottlieb as FDA Administrator.  Both are expected to be fast at work catching up on issues related to their respective agencies and in implementing policy on behalf of the administration.
