Ag Council Board Member Named Rice Farmer of the Year
Ag Council of Arkansas Board of Director member Mark Isbell of Lonoke was recently named Rice Farmer of the Year at that 18th Annual Cotton and Rice Conference held in Memphis earlier this month. Isbell is a multi-generational family farmer whose farm primarily focuses on zero-grade rice farming, which was a practice pioneered by his grandfather, Leroy Isbell, who was recently inducted into the Arkansas Agriculture Hall of Fame. In addition to his leadership role at the Ag Council of Arkansas, Mr. Isbell remains active within the rice industry and frequently participates in policy development efforts on behalf of Arkansas farmers at the state and federal levels.
